This Privacy Policy describes how HabitCircle ("we", "the app") handles your information. We aim to collect the minimum needed to run the app and nothing more.

What we collect

• Display name — the name you choose to show to friends and family.
• Habit data — the habits you create and your check-ins (titles, dates, streak counts).
• Virtual credits — your in-app credit balance and transaction history. Credits have no real-money value.
• Push notification token — your device's APNs token, used only to deliver the notifications you enable (duels, reminders, family updates).
• Entitlement tier — whether you have Pro or Family (mirrored from your App Store purchase via RevenueCat).

What we do NOT collect

• Photos. Photo proofs stay on your device. When you attach proof to a check-in, only a SHA-256 hash of the image is uploaded — never the image itself.
• Email. We request the email scope during Sign in with Apple for verification, but we do not store it on our servers.
• Location, contacts, browsing history, advertising identifiers. We do not use any tracking or advertising SDKs.

How we use your data

• To run the app: show your habits, streaks, and progress.
• For the social features you opt into: circles, duels, leagues, family mode, and the world leaderboard. These only share data with people you choose to connect with.
• To send push notifications you have turned on.

Sign in with Apple

We use Sign in with Apple. We request your name (to display) and email (for verification only). We do not share your Apple ID with anyone.

Data storage

Your data is stored on our backend infrastructure (Cloudflare, with data centers in the EU and US). We do not sell your data to third parties.
